Version 9.4.0
The assistant has a new name: ARIA is now ALISA. Your Agenda keeps reading while you look around, and you can connect a Zoho Mail inbox.
New
- A quick look at ALISA. New accounts start with three short pages on what ALISA does: replies drafted for the emails you choose, calls answered with Standard or Pro, and your Agenda each morning. Skip them any time, or open them again from Help & about.
- See what you're agreeing to before you connect an inbox. Before Google or Microsoft asks for permission, ALISA shows what that screen will ask for and why. ALISA opens only the emails you choose, and you can say not now.
- Connect a Zoho Mail inbox. You can now connect a Zoho Mail inbox alongside Gmail and Outlook. As with your other inboxes, ALISA works only with the emails you mark with its label or select with a watch rule, and Find my signature reads your signature from Zoho's settings, not from your email. Zoho is for connecting an inbox, not for signing in, and a conversation stays in Pending until you handle it in ALISA, since ALISA doesn't look for replies you send from Zoho itself.
- Check the details in a draft before you send it. When a reply ALISA drafts has an amount, a date, a time, a phone number or a link it couldn't find in the conversation or the contact's notes, a short line under the draft names it, so you can check it before sending. It never stops you from sending.
Better
- Quicker contacts. Swipe left on a contact to call them or delete them, with Undo. To pick several, press and hold one, then tap the others.
- A more natural voice on your calls. When ALISA answers a call, it deals with what the caller just said first and asks only what it needs to know. While it checks your calendar, it can say so instead of leaving the caller in silence.
- A dedicated legal and privacy contact. Our policies now list a dedicated mailbox for legal notices and privacy requests. Contact links open the legal and privacy category, while account, technical and billing questions still go to support.
- Review your purchase before subscribing. For new subscriptions purchased through the website, save your payment details with Stripe and return to ALISA to review the final total, tax and any promotion. ALISA checks that your billing address is in the United States or Canada before starting the subscription.
- Clearer governing-law terms. The Terms now name Texas law and courts while preserving your mandatory consumer rights.
- Keep existing website notifications connected. The previous website address keeps its notification connection as links move to our new site.
- Our new website address. Visit alisaassistant.com for ALISA. Existing links continue to work.
- Clearer terms and privacy information. Our policies explain how your existing email label controls access, the limited sent-mail checks, call consent, account deletion and subscription refunds. They also explain what service providers receive, international processing safeguards, Canadian privacy rights, AI request logging and the difference between recording playback expiry and completed deletion. Company support details and our business mailing address are included so you can reach us with questions.
- ARIA is now ALISA. The apps, the website and our terms and policies now call the assistant ALISA, and ALISA introduces itself by its new name when it answers or places a call. Your account, your data and your settings are exactly as you left them.
- Your existing email label keeps working. Keep using your inbox's current assistant label in Gmail or category in Outlook, even if it still says ARIA. The rename does not move your selected emails to another label or category, and reconnecting keeps the same selection.
- Sign up in one step. Continue with Apple, Google or Microsoft, or create an account with your email, right away. ALISA asks you to confirm your age and agree to its terms once, right after you sign in.
- Keep listening to your Agenda while you look around. Your Agenda now opens as a small bar that keeps reading while you use the rest of the app. Open it to see the whole Agenda and ask about it, and make it small again whenever you like.
- Call summaries stay true to what was said. If a caller leaves a phone number or other detail with a part missing, the summary gives it as said and marks it incomplete. A sales caller asking for a meeting no longer counts as something for you to schedule.
- Calls end naturally after a booking. When a caller just says thanks once their meeting is booked, ALISA says goodbye and ends the call when they say goodbye too or after a moment of quiet. If they have something else to ask, the call carries on.
Fixed
- Password reset links keep working during the move. A reset link you requested before the website address changed still lets you finish setting your new password.
- Inbox status stays right after you sign in again. Right after you reconnect an inbox, Settings could show it as needing to sign in again when an older check answered late. Settings now shows only the newest check for each inbox.
- Calendar reminders arrive once. A reminder for an all-day event, like a holiday, could arrive again and again with the time left counted in minutes. Each reminder now comes once, and reminders and leave-by alerts say an hour or more in hours, not minutes.
- Connecting an inbox tells you when email access was left out. If Gmail is left unchecked on Google's permission screen, or your organization approves less than ALISA asks for in Outlook, ALISA now says so right away and saves nothing, instead of showing the inbox as connected and failing later. Leaving out calendar access still connects your email, and your Agenda simply skips that calendar.
- Legal links follow the new name. Terms, privacy and subscription links open on ALISA's website. Saved links from ARIA still lead to the same documents.
- Account emails use the new name and a cleaner look. Email confirmation, password-reset and terms update emails now call the assistant ALISA and share one simple design that matches the app.
- Reconnecting keeps your email selection. If an inbox needs to reconnect, ALISA remembers its current Gmail label or Outlook category. Email processing waits for a working connection without forgetting which emails you selected.
- Your Agenda starts reading sooner. ALISA now gets your spoken Agenda ready before you open the app, so if you listen to it most days it starts right away instead of after a pause.
- Replies go where the email asks. When an email asks for replies to go to another address, as contact forms and booking services often do, ALISA now sends your reply there instead of to the address it came from.
- Your Agenda reads the calendars you share. If you connect an inbox without its calendar, ALISA reads your other connected calendars instead of leaving your Agenda empty. Settings shows which inbox's calendar isn't shared, and you can reconnect it to add it.
- Previews stay on one line. On a small screen, each previous chat's preview stays on one line instead of running over the chats below it. Collapsed messages in an email conversation stay on one line too.
- A signature you just changed stays changed. Saving or removing a signature while ALISA is refreshing your signatures no longer brings the old one back in the preview.
- Chat tells you to connect an inbox. Before you connect an inbox, asking ALISA about your email or someone who writes to you now gets a clear answer that no inbox is connected yet, with a button to connect one, instead of saying it can't help or doesn't know that person.
- An inbox shows as connected as soon as you sign in. After you sign in to connect an inbox, or sign in to it again, it shows as connected right away. The button stays busy while ALISA finishes, so a second tap can't start the sign-in over.
- Calls to every ALISA number are recorded. Some calls weren't recorded even though the caller heard the recording notice, depending on which ALISA number they dialed. They're now recorded like every other call, with the same notice and the same playback period.
- Coming back to a locked ALISA no longer gets stuck. Leaving and coming right back, or unlocking, could occasionally leave the screen frozen until you closed the app. ALISA now comes back ready to use, and if leaving interrupted your unlock, it asks again.
Version 9.3.0
Ask ALISA about whatever is on screen, see your packages on the Agenda, and hear the weather and the drive when they matter.
New
- Ask about the page you're on. Tap or hold the assistant button to ask ALISA about what's on screen, from any page. Pull the answer up to carry on in Chat.
- Your packages on the Agenda. ALISA follows packages from the shipping emails it handles and puts when they ship and arrive on your Agenda. Shipping emails move to Deliveries, so they don't crowd your Inbox.
- Choose which emails, on the web too. Settings on the web has the same choice as on mobile: only emails you label, all new emails, only people you choose, or your own list. It opens by itself after you connect an inbox.
- Let ALISA handle a sender in one click. When ALISA isn't handling an email yet, the web Inbox offers to handle emails from that sender, or from anyone at their company, right there, with Undo. Mobile already had it.
- The weather and the drive. ALISA mentions the weather and the drive for an event when they matter, and answers for any place you ask about, no ZIP code needed.
- Places near you. If you share your location, chat can use it for places nearby, for "here" and for on-my-way emails.
- Chat follows up. Ask chat to keep checking on something and it updates you, or have it remind you when you say.
- Calls from chat come filled in. A call you start from chat opens with who, when and the details you already gave.
- Alerts on your computer. Turn on desktop notifications in Settings to get ALISA's alerts in your browser. While you're using ALISA there, everyday alerts stay off your phone, and a waiting caller or a reminder still reaches both.
- Today's Agenda waits for you. It opens in Ask ALISA instead of playing on its own when you open the app.
- ALISA ripples while it speaks. The Ask ALISA button ripples whenever ALISA is talking, wherever you are in the app.
- A calmer Board. What needs you comes first, then your newest emails and calls in one list, with your day beside them as a timeline.
- Clear screens when something's wrong. ALISA shows a proper screen and message when it or your connection is down, when a link leads nowhere, and if something breaks.
- All new emails in Outlook. Like Gmail, an Outlook inbox can now let ALISA handle everything that lands in its Inbox from the moment you choose it.
Better
- Faster chat replies. Replies start to show sooner, and live dictation keeps your first words.
- Quicker calls. After a clear yes or no, ALISA's calls get straight to the point.
- Caller transcripts in English. Incoming calls write down what callers say in English.
- Your ALISA number. It says "Ready" rather than "Answering", and loads with the rest of Calls.
- Clearer wording. The app's text was reviewed so it reads the same way everywhere, and counts read correctly.
- The menu tucks away. On wide screens the side menu rests as its icons and opens when you point at it, so your work gets the room. Lock it to keep it open.
- Sleeker scrollbars. Scrollbars are slim and match the light or dark look, with no track or arrows.
- Ask ALISA opens wide. It opens as wide as your other menus, growing out of the assistant button.
Fixed
- Calls after a quick callback. When someone called back within seconds of a dropped call, ALISA could hang up on that caller and on everyone who called after. Calls are answered again.
- Every call ALISA misses shows up, with why. When ALISA can't answer a call, because it's on another call, your minutes ran out or the caller hung up first, the call is in Missed with the reason, and you get a notification. The notice about minutes being held by another call is gone: minutes left over from a call that already ended are freed right away.
- Booking on a call goes smoother. When a caller answers before ALISA finishes offering times, ALISA repeats just the times instead of checking again, and it no longer asks again for details the caller already gave.
- Every call gets its summary. A call that ended just as ALISA was saving it could be left without a summary. It now gets one.
- Menu labels on one line. The side menu's labels stay on one line with large text and in Spanish, and shortcut keys step aside when there isn't room.
- Meetings and events. Meetings show as meetings again, and other events as events.
- All-day and multi-day events. They show on every day they cover, and keep their dates when you rename them, in any time zone. A meeting that runs past midnight shows the next morning too.
- Nothing you typed is lost. Unsaved reply edits in the web Inbox survive leaving the page or a refresh, and closing New email or a template with changes asks first.
- The right sender. The Inbox no longer shows you as the sender of someone else's email.
- Daily review. It opens the email it describes, and keeps it after Back or a refresh.
- Your privacy choices stay put. Changing another setting can no longer turn AI consent or relationship memory back on after you turned them off.
- Packages. A package you stop tracking stays gone, and one order shows as one package however many emails it sends.
- Weather from a saved place. The weather and traffic work when your home or work was saved from your device's location.
- New email for every inbox. One Gmail account that needs reconnecting no longer holds up new email for your other accounts.
- Alerts and answers. A leave-by alert or reminder that couldn't be saved is tried again, and asking again after a lost answer no longer answers twice.
- Back where you were. An open email, or an event you're writing, is still there after a call or another interruption.
- Sign-in methods on web. Settings lists your sign-in methods and links new ones again.
- Today's Agenda. An Agenda you open in Chat no longer comes back on top of it. If you have it read aloud when you open ALISA, it now opens and reads once ALISA is on screen.
- New events on the day you picked. Adding an event while the Agenda shows another day starts it on that day, not today.
